Bridgerton Season 3

Bridgerton Season 3 kicks off with a bold orchestral cover of “abcdefu,” marking Miss Penelope Featherington’s (Nicola Coughlan) dazzling transformation from wallflower to social sensation. Returning stars Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift join newcomer Gayle, seamlessly blending their hits into the Bridgerton world.

The season introduces its first original song, “All I Want,” arranged by Kris Bowers, alongside fresh covers like Ariana Grande’s “POV,” Imagine Dragons’ “Thunder,” Demi Lovato’s “Confident,” Coldplay’s “Yellow,” Swift’s “You Belong with Me,” and Ellie Goulding’s “Lights.”

A standout moment features an orchestral rendition of Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything” during the much-anticipated carriage scene where Penelope and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) share their first intimate encounter. Music supervisor Justin Kamps notes the surprising yet perfect choice: “The song builds anticipation beautifully before exploding into its chorus, matching the on-screen passion.”

Information About Pop Song Covers in Bridgerton Season 3

This season’s music captures Penelope and Colin’s delightful journey from friends to lovers.

“It feels more lighthearted overall,” composer Bowers shares with Tudum. “While the show retains its ups and downs, Colin and Pen’s interactions bring a fun, awkward charm. This season dips into many stories, adding layers of joy through the music and comedic moments.”

Their story is far happier than Kate and Anthony’s from Season 2. “When writing their theme early on, I sensed potential tragedy,” recalls Bowers. “Yet as it evolved with each scene, it became uplifting and emotionally rich.”

Bridgerton season 3

Bowers crafted new themes for both characters that breathe fresh life into this season’s score. He explains, “Colin and Pen’s dynamic—timid yet progressing—shaped my melodic approach.”

Additionally, Bowers created an orchestral version of “All I Want,” penned by Grammy nominees Rogét Chahayed (Doja Cat), Wesley Singerman (Jennifer Lopez), Taylor Dexter (Joji), and Nicole Cohen (Meghan Trainor). Singer Kelly performed this live at the Bridgerton wedding premiere on May 13.

Bridgerton’s instrumental covers are a signature delight. Kamps, the mastermind behind these selections, first dives into the script to grasp each episode’s essence.

“Initially, it’s about matching choreography,” Kamps explains. “Later, it’s about syncing with the scene and emotion.” This season features more than just ball sequences; unexpected moments now sparkle with playful covers.

Spotify listeners have eagerly embraced Season 3’s string renditions. Vitamin String Quartet’s “Cheap Thrills” saw a staggering 9,500% increase in streams after Part 1 dropped—boosting Sia’s original too.
